ケースサイドで好きな文字盤が選べる
レコードを再生するジュークボックスに想を得た本作。ケース9時位置のセレクターを操作することで、文字盤9時位置のマガジンが上昇・下降し、ローカルタイム（GMT）、カレンダー、ハリー・ウィンストンのサインが刻まれた星の中から、好きなディスクが選べる。

【Point 2】
4時位置のボタンでディスクを呼び出す
ディスクを選択したあと、4時位置のプッシュボタンを押すと、アームが作動してディスクを掴み、文字盤2時位置の読み取り用プラットホームにセット。GMT、カレンダー、星のディスクが2時位置に配置されるのに対し、ホームタイムは常に9時位置に表示される。

通常の時刻表示用の最大68時間パワーリザーブのほか、ディスク最大5往復分のもうひとつのパワーリザーブを装備。これら2つのパワーリザーブはそれぞれ独立しており、個別に機能するのだが、共通の巻き上げ機構によってエネルギーを蓄積することができる。

3枚の文字盤（レコード）を選べる腕時計版のジュークボックス

超絶なアイデアから生まれた規格外の機構とデザイン

2001年にスタートしたハリー・ウィンストンの「オーパス」。独立時計師とのコラボレーションによる同シリーズでは、既存の概念を覆すような斬新な機構とデザインをテーマとし、新進気鋭の時計師たちの登竜門的存在ともなってきた。めぼしいものだけでもF.P.ジュルヌ（オーパス 1）、アントワーヌ・プレジウソ（オーパス 2）、グルーベル・フォルセイ（オーパス 6）といった錚々たる顔ぶれが揃う。そして2015年発表の第14作目がフランク・オルニー＆ジョニー・ジラルダンとの「オーパス 14」である。

現在のところ最新作となる本作では、それ以前の作品に劣らぬ超絶なアイデアをもとに製作。それは1950年代に活躍した“ジュークボックス”であり、このマシンがかけるレコード盤を選ぶように、好みの文字盤がセレクトできるのだ。

まず、9時位置セレクターの操作により、文字盤左側に突き出たマガジンに収納されたGMT、日付、星のディスクから表示したい機能を選ぶ。次に4時位置のボタンを押してアームを作動させ、ディスクを呼び出し、2時位置のターンテーブル上にセットされる（写真は星がセットされている状態）という仕組みに。選択可能な3つのディスクが右上に移動して表示されるのに対し、通常の12時間表示はマガジン最上部に掲げられたまま。もう一度ボタンを押すとふたたびアームが作動してディスクをマガジンに戻す。

このため、搭載するCal.HW4601には通常のものに加え、ディスク専用のパワーリザーブを内蔵。2つの独立したパワーリザーブにより時刻表示に影響することなく5往復分の作動が実現する。また、“分”は文字盤右下の扇型スケールにレトログラード表示され、12時位置ボタンで日付とGMTの修正も可能となる。

本作のムーブメントパーツ数は1066個。ホワイトゴールドケースの径54.7mmの外観も圧巻だ。何から何まで規格外のコンプリケーションである。
