マツダらしい運転感覚が気持ちいい

マツダ　MX-30EV — グレードはEV（451万円）、EVベーシックセット（458.7万円）、EVハイエストセット（495万円）の3つを用意する。駆動方式はFFのみとなる。ちなみに国内の販売計画台数は年間500台とされた。

何より驚くのが運転の滑らかさだ。EVなのでスムーズなのは当然だが、過度な発進加速などこれみよがしな味付けをしないのがいかにもマツダ流だ。そしてマイルドハイブリッド仕様と比べても明らかにボディ剛性が増しており乗り心地がいい。さらにマツダ独自の車両制御技術Gベクタリングコントロールプラスが、電動化によって緻密な制御を可能とし、よりシームレスな挙動を生み出している。低重心であることもあいまって、まさに人馬一体感が味わえる。

加速していくと、スピーカーから聞こえる音が高まってくる。決して騒々しいものではなく、トルクの盛り上がりが感覚的にわかりやすい。ステアリングにはシフトパドルが備わっており、右のパドルをたたくと回生減速度が弱く、左では強く、それぞれ2段階ずつ調整が可能だ。特に下り坂などでエンジンブレーキよろしくとても使いやすい。

現時点においてEVが万人にオススメできるものでないことは言うまでもない。それはたとえ90kWhクラスの大容量バッテリーを積んでいたとしても同じことだ。聞けば最近は地方でコンパクトEVの需要が高まりつつあるという。1人1台が当たり前で、家にはガソリン車もあって、通勤、通学、買い物など基本的には決まった生活圏内を走行し、夜間に家庭で充電する。なるほどそう考えればまったくもってEVで事足りるというわけだ。ガソリンスタンドにいく手間もなくなる。そういうライフスタイルに合致する人であれば、ぜひこのMX-30 EVモデルを検討してみるといいと思う。何よりマツダらしい自然な運転感覚が気持ちいい。
