秒針を正確にジャンプさせる傾斜した２つのテンプの調速
自動車ファンなら、アヴェンタドール Sという名にピンと来るはず。ロジェ・デュブイは2017年、ランボルギーニ・スクアドラ・コルセとパートナーシップを提携。そして720psという途方もない出力を誇るスーパーカーのエンジンからインスピレーションを得た、特別なムーブメントを生み出した。
ダイヤルにあるX型のフレームはエンジンを固定するストラットバーを、その下で香箱を覆うスリットをもつパーツはエンジンフードをそれぞれモチーフとする。そんなスケルトンダイヤルで、5時と10時位置に備わる2つのテンプが、ひときわ異彩を放つ。これまでにもロジェ・デュブイは、ダブル フライング トゥールビヨンをはじめ、複数の調速機をもつムーブメントを開発してきた。2013年には、4つのテンプをもつクアトゥオールを開発。同コンセプトのダブルのテンプは、90度に相対するように、それぞれ45度に傾けられている。その姿は、アヴェンタドール SのV12エンジンを彷彿とさせる。
その傾斜角度も設置場所も、この時計を装着した際、どちらか一方が、最も高精度となる水平を保つ確率が高くなるよう、計算されているという。2つの調速は、ディファレンシャルギアを介して、分針を正確に進める。と、同時にディファレンシャル機構は、1つの香箱から各テンプに駆動力を振り分ける機能も果たす。このメカニズムをロジェ・デュブイは、ASP（Autonomous Stability Program）自立安定装置と名付けた。
45度傾いたダブルのテンプとASPによる高精度を視覚的に象徴するように、秒針を1秒刻みで進めるジャンピング・セコンド機構も組み込まれている。
ケースは、カーボン繊維をランダムにレジン（樹脂）とともに加熱圧縮したランボルギーニの車体同様のカーボン素材。高性能ムーブメントを先端素材のケースに収めた時計は、ランボルギーニのハンドルを握る腕にふさわしい。
