この機構が凄い！
Point 1
反時計回りに１恒星日かけて１周
星座表に従いつつ、約24時間かけて1周するフライング・トゥールビヨンは、天体表示を組み込んだカルーセル機構でもある。星座表の空には、マニュファクチュールがあるジュウ渓谷から見上げた夜空が描かれる。それを載せるレース状ドームの設えは、実に繊細。
Point 2
星座表とともに動く太陽型ポインター
太陽型のポインターはダイヤル最外周にプリントされた日付・月名・黄道十二宮のインデックスを示す。さらにフランジに配された24時間目盛りで、恒星時も分かる。フランジの外側には時分針が指す通常時間用のバーインデックスが配され、すべてが読み取りやすい。
Point 3
ミニッツリピーターも実に革新的
ゴングはご覧の通り、断面が四角形。その始点となるSonnerieとの文字を刻むプレートが溶接された裏蓋のサファイアクリスタルが、音響板となって音を増幅させる。板バネを組み込んだ“トレビュシェ”ハンマーは、細い付け根のネジを支点に、力強く打鐘する。
