――NPSの中でおすすめのモデルはどちらになりますか？

クリスチャン　やはり創業初期から製造を続けているオフィサーシューズですね。もちろんシェイプや作りはアップデートしていますが、当時の素朴な雰囲気も残しています。ボリュームのあるラウンドトウで幅も広めですから、履き心地もすごくいいですよ。ビジネススタイルにぴったりな内羽根も、ジーンズにも合う外羽根もラインナップしています。

――ラバーソールのものが多いですね。

クリスチャン　そうですね。履き心地を重視して、ラバーソールを採用したものがNPSの主流になっています。本来オフィサーシューズは革底ですが、現代のニーズに合わせてアップデートすることも重要だと考えています。歴史ある英国靴ブランドは、伝統を大切にするあまり変化を拒みがちですが、NPSは長い歴史を持ちながら、柔軟性も備えているのが強みだと考えています。

実はNPSは、長らく様々な有名靴ブランドのOEMを手がけていた歴史も持っています。ブランドごとに異なる色々なリクエストに答え続けてきたからこそ、こういった柔軟な靴作りが可能になっているのです。最後に、コストパフォーマンスの高さにもご注目いただきたいですね。英国靴も年々価格が高騰しているなかで、3万円台からお求めいただけるというのはお客様にとって大きなメリットに感じていただけると思います。
