地元文化に触れ、新鮮な体験を。頭の中もリフレッシュされる

【PM2:00】at 金武鍾乳洞、吉栄会　屋良三線屋、カニマン鍛治工房

浜比嘉島まで通る、日本一長い海中道路。そこで借りたバイクで、東海岸の名所を巡ろうではないか。右も左も海！な絶景サイクリングを楽しみながら、まずは、沖縄の神様が住んだというシルミチューへ。

子孫繁栄、身体健康にご利益があるパワースポットを参拝！厳かな雰囲気のこちらを後に、世界遺産である勝連城跡へ。聞けばここは、朝貢貿易時代に交易の富で栄えながら、首里王府との戦いに敗れ散った名君の城跡らしい。その君主の夢と野望の跡は、荘厳だがどこか儚さも感じさせる。

午後は身体を休ませ、地元の伝統文化に触れることに。沖縄が好きでよく一人旅したときも泡盛を飲んだが、その泡盛を鍾乳洞の中で熟成させるのには驚いた。タイムカプセル感覚で泡盛を預けるのもロマンがある。伝統工芸や職人さんの仕事を見るのも大好きなんだよなぁ。

今回、沖縄文化の担い手を訪ね、興味津々でお邪魔した。沖縄に数名しかいないシマ包丁職人、知名さんの素朴で男らしい見た目と、包丁の飾り気のない実用的で手に馴染むずっしりとした感じは男心をくすぐる。三線は二十代の頃習おうかと考えたこともあり、直接弾き方を教えていただけたのはとても刺激的。あの素朴な音色には、今でもどこか惹かれてしまう。やっぱりこれは習い始めるしかないかな（笑）。
