毎年1月と6月にイタリアのフィレンツェで行われるメンズの国際的トレードフェア「ピッティ・イマージネ・ウォモ」の第103回目が、2023年1月10日（火）〜13日（金）に開催されることとなった。毎シーズン、さまざまなテーマが設けられてきたが、次のピッティのテーマは、「PITTIWAY」に決定。 まずは、最新のイメージムービーをご紹介！

「PITTIWAY」は、クリエイティブディレクターであるアンジェロ・フィグスがコーディネートした、素晴らしいクリエイティブタレントとアーティストから生まれた「第103回目のピッティ・イマージネ・ウオモ」のテーマ。今日のトレンドや時世を咀嚼し、ピッティのメイン会場である「フォルテッツァ・ダ・バッソ」を彩る予定だ。
ピッティ・イマージネのジェネラル・マネージャーである、アゴスティーノ・ポレット氏は「困難でありながら、創造的で革新的で多様なこの瞬間に、ピッティ・イマージネの展示は、新しい方向を定め、可能な経路を構想し、再出発するための可能な選択肢を考える羅針盤となることでしょう。」（抜粋）と語った。
小誌が度々ご紹介してきたスナップの聖地であるバッソ要塞をライティングによって、視覚情報のジャングルへと変貌させる予定だ。交通標識からヒントを得たグラフィックで遊び心あふれるサインを多数展示する。
【ミドコロ１】
ゲストデザイナーはマーティン・ローズ氏に決定！
今回のゲストデザイナーは、イギリス出身のデザイナーであるマーティン・ローズ氏に決定。氏は、2007年にロンドンで自身の名を冠したレーベルを設立。その後、厳選されたシャツ中心のコレクションブランドから、国際的に有名で高い評価を得ている一流ブランドへと進化を遂げた実力者だ。
ジャマイカンブリティッシュの遺伝子と、ロンドンの音楽とハイ／ロー文化などにインスパイアされたコレクションは、メンズファッションに大きな影響を与えているのだ。そんな彼女の来年の秋冬シーズンのコレクションがピッティにて発表される。
彼女は、「1月のピッティでコレクションを発表出来ることをとても光栄に思っています。ピッティはメンズファッションイベントの先駆的存在で、私が尊敬するデザイナーの多くがその一翼を担ってきました。新作コレクションを携えて大好きなフィレンツェに行けることにスタッフ一同感激しています。」と語っている。
【ミドコロ2】
デザイナープロジェクトは、ヤン=ヤン・ヴァン・エシュ氏に！
ピッティ・イマージネのコミュニケーション＆イベントディレクターである、ラポ・チャンキ氏は次のように語る。
「ヤン=ヤン・ヴァン・エシュは、控えめながら現代のメンズファッションを象徴する存在であり、おそらく彼は、性差の主張が不要であることを最初に考え、それを裏付け、或いはそれを超越したと判断するような人なのではないでしょうか。彼はその代わりに、常にエレガンスとナチュラルさにおける同モデルの異なるバージョンを生み出し、自由という概念を伝えることに興味を持っているのです。彼の人柄や、コレクションの内容と表現方法の適正なバランスを保つことに注力していることを知るにつれ、彼が私たちの招待を受けてくれるかどうか、確信は持てませんでした。しかし彼は快諾してくれました。我々はこのことを非常に嬉しく思っており、彼への関心度がさらに高まることを期待しています。」
2010年6月に、自身の名を冠したレーベル、日本語で「気楽に」「一歩一歩」という意味のCOLLECTION#1「YUKKURI」を発表した氏。彼にとって初めてとなるランウェイショーの表現は今回のピッティのミドコロに違いない。パンデミック後、新たな時代の先駆けになるのか――。
【ミドコロ3】
－ 日本の匠の技を世界へ発信 －
「J∞QUALITY FACTORY BRAND PROJECT」
J∞QUALITYとは、「需要創造」と「市場拡大」に邁進し、業界団体の知恵とクリエーション力を集結し、世界に誇るジャパンブランドの確立を目指すプロジェクト。今回のピッティには、日本を代表する11社の工房が集結し、その技術力の高さを発表する。
スペシャルイベントのひとつに、ユナイテッドアローズ上級顧問 クリエイティブディレクション担当の栗野宏文さんと、元GQ JAPAN元編集長の鈴木正文さん、そして、ジャンルカ・カンターロさんが「イタリアと日本のクリエイションとクラフトマンシップ」についてトークセッションを実施。
