カリヨンとともに数字が動く特殊仕様ミニッツリピーター
2012年に新体制となり、ピカデリーケース、スピーク・マリンラグ、ハート型針といった伝統を受け継ぎながら、よりラグジュアリーな路線に舵を切ったスピーク・マリン。2015年にはラ・ショー・ド・フォン近郊に自社工場を開設して、デザインも個性あるコンプリケーションを中心とした時計製作を行う。それを象徴するのが「ミニッツリピーター フライングトゥールビヨン レジェルテ」だ。
モデル名の“レジェルテ”はフランス語で軽さを意味する。ベゼル、ケース、ケースバックのすべてに透明性の高いサファイアクリスタル素材を使用し、上面、側面、裏面のどこからでも、内部に搭載した手巻きキャリバーSMAHH-02の姿を見渡せるようにした。6時位置には60秒で1回転するフライングトゥールビヨンが配され、文字盤側よりスピーク・マリンのシンボルを象ったケージが見える。
そして本作のハイライトとなるのが、特殊なアニメーション効果をもつミニッツリピーターである。ケース左側のスライダーを操作するとカリヨンが鳴りはじめ、リピーターに合わせて“Ⅻ”の数字が動き出す。赤色が施された巨大なローマンインデックスは、カリヨンが奏でる音とともに次第に崩れてゆき、時を告げ終えたあとは元どおりになるのだ。
また、ミニッツリピーターは、時、15分単位、1分単位のハンマーの組み合わせで時刻を伝え、これら3つのハンマーをブロック（サウンドボックスの役割を果たす）に溶接することで、カリヨンの音色がより美しいものに。カリヨンは調速機によって絶妙なスピードに調整されるが、この調速機はほぼ無音で回転するため、カリヨンの音に影響することはない。さらに、機構内にはダブルセーフティ・モジュールを備え、チャイムが鳴っている間でも時刻調整が可能となる。
360度クリアに設計したケースからは、この超絶機構にくわえ、職人の手で施された美しい仕上げや装飾も楽しめる。
